Meet the New Faces of SAGS...
My name is Jasmyne Stewart, and I teach Fourth Grade ELA and Social Studies. I was born and raised in the Kankakee area. I graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in 2022 with a bachelor's in Elementary and Special Education. I also played Varsity Women’s basketball during college. I enjoy spending time with my two-year-old twin boys, taking care of Lady, my bearded dragon, hanging with friends, kayaking, reading, and taking walks. I’m so excited to join the SAGS team!
Hello, my name is Emily Skelly and I am a School Psychologist and Professional Counselor. I’m from Kankakee and currently reside in Bourbonnais with my two children Noah (21yrs) and Emilia (13yrs). I have worked in education and community mental health for over 15 years. Some of my favorite things to do are to spend time with friends and family, work in my flower garden, sew and ride bikes. I also like to spend time with my dog Tess, who is a certified therapy dog. This will be my third year (nonconsecutive) with St. Anne, and I’m so excited to be returning for the 2023/24 school year. I can not wait to see how much the kids grow over the course of this next year! It is one of the things I look most forward to all year long! Other random things about me is that I love the outdoors, road trips and a good flea market find!
My name is Katie Brown. I'm a special education paraprofessional. I'm originally from Mokena, IL. This is my 1st year working in a school. I was in the medical field prior. I love working with children & am really excited about this year & hopefully many more to come.
My name is Maddie Bessemer. I'm a special education paraprofessional. I'm originally from Carpentersville in the Northwest suburbs. I've worked in various roles from preschool to adult education, and I look forward to my new role at St. Anne. I love horror movies, hiking, and sewing. I'm so excited to get to know the community at SAGS and to have a great year together!
